Flanders

I haven’t done the Flanders with Nadine, but Petronella Wensing taught me to tie a little knot with the second pair entering or leaving a woven cloth-stitch section ……. this is much more difficult with spangled bobbins (though admittedly not impossible).

I have done a workshop on Flanders with Bridget Cook and she did not care what we used, so we all used our spangled bobbins and they worked just fine. In fact some of our group are working on Flanders now seeing Bridget will teach those interested in Flanders what they want to know when she comes out shortly, and all are using their usual bobbins without any problems.
